Ramu Arunachalam
Ramu Arunachalam is the General Partner at A.Capital. Ramu was most recently a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. A computer scientist by training, Ramu has over a decade of operating experience in product management and engineering at both startups and public companies. Prior to Andreessen Horowitz, Ramu led new product initiatives in Big Data for Aster Data (acquired by Teradata). Earlier in his career, Ramu was an engineer at VMware and part of the team that developed the industry’s first virtual switch for VMware’s flagship ESX server product line. Ramu holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering (with University Honors) from Carnegie Mellon University.

Prior to APG, Mira worked at US$15 billion hedge fund TPG-Axon Capital Management, an affiliate of Texas Pacific Group, where she was a private and public market investor across multiple sectors and geographies. Before that, Mira was in Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking Division in the Leveraged Finance and Restructuring group in New York and worked on a variety of mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and restructuring deals. Mira received a BA in Economics and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences from Northwestern University.

Justin Slaughter
Justin Slaughter is the Policy Director at Paradigm. Prior to joining Paradigm, he was the Director of the office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs and Senior Advisor to Acting Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Allison Herren Lee. Justin also served as Chief Policy Advisor and Special Counsel to former Commissioner Sharon Bowen at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and General Counsel to Senator Edward J. Markey. He has also worked as a consultant in private practice, focusing on fintech and smaller technology companies. To begin his career, Justin was a law clerk to Judge Jerome Farris on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
